Instructions

Methods for adding page templates to new pages:

  1. Copy an existing page:- Go to Admin > Pages > Expand Page Templates
    - Find the page you want to use as the basis for a new page
    - Hover over the page you want to copy and click "New Draft"
    - Change the Page attributes > Parent as required (right column)
    - Change the Page Title
    - Edit page as required
    - Click Update to keep it private for now or Publish
  2. Insert the content of another page before or after the current pages content
    OR replace the current page content with another page- Open a new page or a page you want to update
    - Make sure you are on Page Builder
    - Click "Layouts" in the top menu
    - Select: Clone Pages
    - Select the page you want to Insert into the current one
    - Click the Insert Button and then selsect one of the options:
    Insert Before
    Insert After
    Replace Current (Warning: This will replace all currrent page content)
    -  Click Update / Publish as required
  3. Copying rows from another page:- Open two admin browser tabs:
    The first with the page you want to copy a row from
    The second with the page that you want to add the new row into
    - On the first tab Right click the row you want to copy and select "Copy Row"
    - Go to the second tab and clich the row that you want to insert the new row after
    - right click the row and select "Paste Row"
    - repeat as required
    - Click Update / Publish as required

 

Tips

  1. Use several browser tabs when editing...
    - Click a link with your middle mouse button (or wheel) to open a link in a new tab (sometimes doesnt work depending on mouse setup)
    - Right click a link and select "Open link in a new tab"
  2. When Pasting content for a word Document click the "past as text" on the second row of the editor toolbar
    - Not seeing the second row? Click Toolbar Toggle (Shift+Alt+Z)
  3. Make sure when you click Done that you are on the "Visual" tab top right not the "Text"
    This will ensure your content picks up any built in style settings that have ben setup in your theme.
