Since becoming a charity in 2010, Spark! has had many successes and reasons to celebrate including Annual Awards events, inspiring work experience placements, the Kickstart programme, CONNECT mentoring and many more. Here we've shared some of the stories from the students, schools and employers.

“CONNECT has inspired me to fulfil my future ambition to be a Biomedical Scientist as before I was not entirely sure, however with this programme I have gained a lot more confidence and that I can do it! It has also helped me be resilient and remember that this is not the end and there is a long life ahead of us and we can all do it as we are all humans!”

CONNECT mentoring programme - Kinza

Kinza, a Year 12 student, took part in our CONNECT Mentoring scheme in 2018.

"Before joining the CONNECT programme I was sort of lost and didn't have a much of a clue of what I wanted to do after I finished school. I had a small idea and my mentor helped me figure out what I really wanted to do and this wasn't just by telling me my options, she really helped me figure out who I was...".
