In today’s job market, employers look for people not just with technical skills, but also key interpersonal and professional skills. While technical competencies can be learned through courses or experience, other employability skills are just as important to help staff be more effective, happy and successful in the workplace and are often more sought after in the hiring process.
Our work with schools and businesses offers a wide range of opportunities to help develop students’ employability skills in an impactful way, and we always bring a diverse range of employers with us, to ensure meaningful engagement for students. The different types of opportunities we offer include:
- Employability skills developments
- Labour Market Information and pathways into work
- CV workshops
- Interview skills and mock interviews
Many of our services can now also be delivered virtually, which will help students in a world where online proficiency is increasingly valued by employers.

Kickstart Express
Kickstart Express is a 3-day Employability Bootcamp which teaches young people about the local labour market, the skills required by employers, and helps them to focus on their own skills (as well as creating a CV). In 2020, we have delivered this virtually over 7 workshops (plus a Mock Interview).
